Frostpunk automaton build11/25/2023 ![]() (Thanks to djpj for this info) I hope this helps. So even if you (like me) wasn't counting when you rescue poeple to be under 600 at the next storm, you can still do this achievement with automaton, just need to past many storm to have enough steam core. EDIT: March 2021: in serenity mode (easy) I had 647 poeple and 53 automatons and the achievement pop (day 104). You should pick up 100 plus if you make it to every location and once they return, it will pop as you reach 700. Some quick maths will tell you when you have enough. Use already discovered locations to increase travel speed. Try to get to every location available as fast as possible. Depending on the distance, don’t be afraid to send them to the city instead of escorting them, you could do without the delays. Send your 3 scouts out in different directions. ![]() As soon as it ends, you will have 14 days to find and return as many survivors as possible. If you end up just over, kill some off until you are 599 or below. In conclusion, I can confirm that by far the most effective way of earning this is to gather survivors until you are just short of 600. There is no rush for this achievement, but when required to do so at the key stage which I explain shortly you need to be as efficient as possible to ensure success. I cannot confirm this as I have not tested it but other reports suggest this is correct so if you have the steam cores you can make up the numbers with automatons. I am led to believe that if you can make up the extra numbers with automatons. I wasted many hours believing that they would eventually spawn. After the second storm, if you hit 600 survivors or more and then weather a further storm, survivors will STOP SPAWNING. From researching, serenity has a higher cap of 700. The automaton scout is useful in fairly narrow situations (you kind of already have to be winning) but keep in mind that when its job is done, you disband it and get back 100 of those resources. Don’t do what I did and try and unlock it in endurance, you will never get enough as the cap is around 650. Some key things to note: - This can ONLY be achieved in endless serenity mode. I respect the other guide for this but I believe I have done sufficient testing and experimentation to write a more comprehensive one. ![]() I was actually thinking on my next play through to get a thumper going with four gathering huts all manned by automatons since gathering is rather cold work.Hi. Once I didn't need so much steel any more, I even put one running a coal thumper and one on a gathering station. Though once you have a decent food stock pile you don't really need that. Then it would build up raw food over night giving the cook house something to do in the morning. They are also nice to have on a hot house. The automaton upgrades you can research are just gravy on top of that. I have a feeling it might be a bug, but they will charge on the hubs even if they aren't on.Įven at 60% efficiency, you are getting what you'd get out of a 14 hour shift of humans with no need to have a heater running or any penalties for a 14 hour day. They will recharge at a steam hub so I built a steam hub right next to each spot making their breaks really fast. Not because I don't want people there, but because they work 24 hours a day save for when they recharge. I used automatons for all the mining spots and wall drills. Factory is available after finishing research Factory (Technology), then it can be built from Tech tab. That means you can plan for the automatons and ensure that there is minimal heating where they are, so that you save on coal-which in turn means you need less coal, and can focus on food or other things you want to pursue. You can't invest in it all in one play through, but as long as you don't make poor choices if you mix and match, you will come out about the same, maybe ahead, depending on your research choices. Then you can focus on saving your heating for people's homes and the vital human worker chores and not have to have so many heaters going (or steam hubs) for work areas services by the automatons since they don't need it. 10 Engineers or 1 Automaton Working Hours: 24h Cost : Wood: 30 Steel: 20 Steam Core: 1 Dismantle Value : Wood: 23 Steel: 15 Steam Core: 1 Infirmary is one of the. We are looking for users to help edit the wiki and help to keep it up-to-date. ![]() The amputees came about because I forgot to turn off coal pile collections when things got really cold.Īnyway, if you focus on automatons, you can let them go out and not burn any coal while they handle the resource collection. Frostpunk Wiki is a community project run entirely by volunteers to provide information for the game. I had one care home that held like six people, and I have 7 amputees and so far have made like 3 prostetics. When the waves of survivors first came in, I gave the sick double rations a few times that cleared everyone out of the infirmiares pretty quickly. they need no heat and their rest time is negligble compared to workers. I kept the first automaton running and upgraded it to be more efficient it handled a lot of my lumber concerns for the rest of the game. I also did not bother with automatons, but i had 2 infirmiaries and closed the medical posts.
